Getting it's name from the latin Tendere meaning to stretch Each vessels shape is discovered through the raising process. As the vessel is shaped by hammer the metal is stretched and put under tension, rather than fighting this force it is embraced, eventually resulting in a harmonious balanced form at once under tension and simultaneously relaxed.
 
Hand hammered copper vessel finished with a beautiful copper nitrate & ferric nitrate black, green marbled patina, and a rich polished interior.
 
The dish is small in size fitting in the hand. It is perfect for holding trinkets and jewellery or as a statement display piece.
