MORPHOGENESIS
EXPERIMENTAL METALWORK · MATERIAL RESEARCH
Morphogenesis is an ongoing body of sculptural research investigating the emergence of form through fundamental forces. Working primarily with reclaimed copper, I combine hammered metal forms with electrochemical processes that encourage crystalline structures to grow across their surfaces. The resulting works exist somewhere between sculpture and natural formation, revealing patterns shaped by electricity, chemistry, geometry and time.
