Dawn Vessel is a 250 mm tall form hand raised from recycled copper, shaped into a soft tulip silhouette with a clean cut opening along its centre. Its surface is transformed through a grown electrocrystallised finish, where copper crystals slowly build and branch across the metal. This process creates a natural, mineral-like landscape of ridges, facets and delicate crystalline growths, each structure forming uniquely over hours of controlled current and chemistry.
The vessel’s patination moves through verdigris, blues, greens and subtle reds, settling into an iridescent spectrum that recalls the shifting colours of first light. Within the central opening, a warm copper glow emerges, suggesting the moment dawn breaks and illuminates the horizon. Dawn Vessel brings together texture, colour and form to capture the quiet rise of a new day.
