Morphogenesis III is the third work in an ongoing series exploring organic growth and biomorphic form. This 200 mm diameter vessel takes inspiration from sea urchins and marine structures, its rounded body shaped through careful hand raising.
 
The surface is transformed through electrolytically grown copper crystals, which 'grow' over weeks into coral-like formations. These crystalline rivulets branch and flow across the form, echoing reef growth, tidal currents and the intricate architectures found in marine life. No two crystalline patterns grow the same, giving the piece a living, evolving quality.
