Willow Bloomfield is a British sculptor in metal. Combining traditional forging and smithing techniques with experimental processes grounded in metallurgical research. Their pieces aim to celebrate the geological origins, circularity and transformational properties of metals. Working primarily with recycled copper, they combine traditional metalsmithing techniques, including raising, repoussé and hammer forming, with experimental electrochemical processes to create sculpture that causes the viewer to question the material itself.
